The ending of "Lee'd The Way" left the audience repeating the chant on the screen. "Lee'd The Way, Patrick Lee, Lee'd The Way." The audience literally became part of the chanting crowd on screen.
In 2004 I went to see Closer on opening night, and right before the movie began this couple came in with a big bouquet of flowers and a full fancy date night outfit including fur coats. I don't remember at what specific point this happened but when some of the cheating in the movie was revealed, the woman in the couple got up cursing and scolding her date, and bashed him a couple of times with the bouquet, threw it at him and walked away cursing all the way out of the theater. The guy picked up the flowers and walked out slow and sullen with his head all the way down. That taught me a valuable lesson. Make sure you know the subject matter is appropriate for you before you take anyone to a movie date.
During Spider-Man No Way Home, when Andrew Garfield popped up on the screen, nothing because I think everyone was holding their breath for.... Tobey Maguire. When he stepped out of the shadows, cheering and applause from the audience. Clearly the favorite.
