The long-awaited reboot of 'The Crow' has been given an earlier release date. The movie was originally scheduled by Lionsgate for a 2025 release date. The new release date is June 7, 2024.
This is the fifth movie in the franchise and is based on the comic book of the same name. The movie serves as "A modern re-imagining of the beloved character, The Crow, based on the original graphic novel by James O'Barr." (IMDB) Bill Skarsgård stars. Rupert Sanders directs.
Skarsgård had three movies come out last year. 'Boy Kills World,' 'John Wick: Chapter 4,' and 'One Day This Will All Be Yours.' He's most known for his role as Pennywise in the remake 'It' and 'It: Chapter 2.'
Rupert Sanders's last feature film was the live-action 'Ghost in the Shell' in 2017. Before that, he did 'Snow White and the Huntsman’ in 2012.
The original 'The Crow' was released in 1994 and was followed by three sequels. 'City of Angles' in 1996, 'Salvation' in 2000, and 'Wicked Prayer' in 2005.
A reboot has been in development since 2008.
